EPW - Unsigned, Swiss, tandem-winding minute repeater grande sonnerie clockwatch, 56mm, 14K gold American made HC recase nicely modified for the present mvt, front shield with initial, glazed observation cover over mvt, button on band at 6 for repeat function on demand, slide outside 1:30 of dial for silence, engine turned and engraved gold replacement dial has been applied to a brass under plate, SW-shift-locking-LS, lever escapement with capped escape wheel, likely 27-31J, gilt mvt, s#59373 within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 85.2 dwt (132.6 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, good repeat function and tone, good grande sonnerie tone but inconsistent function with occasional errors of quarter tones, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, some small bits of oxide to steelwork, few mild fine scratches on plates; dial has been applied to brass under plate and is slightly smaller diameter than bezel aperture so a portion of brass under plate remains visible, dial in excellent cosmetic condition with few fine and micro-fine scratches; excellent hands; case shows little wear, protruding dent to lower left of front, few mild shallow dents to rear, mild to moderate dent to band at 10:30, excellent engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows little wear; good glass crystals.
